Made by Doepke, this toy vehicle is perfect for collectors or children who enjoy imaginative play. The wheels are in good condition, and it turns as it should, but the grading tool is not fully attached.
The toy is a pressed steel model, often found in orange or yellow, and was produced in the late 1940s and 1950s. It is a collectible item, and different versions can be identified by specific features like paint color, decals, and rivet types.
Vintage Doepke road grader in very good used condition. Has a nice patina to it, paint loss typical of a toy vehicle used as intended. All mechanisms are intact and working as intended. The front wheels steer; the blade raises, lowers, and rotates as well as tilts; and both sets of wheels articulate.
This grader is in solid condition, but has been repainted. My last photo shows bubbling in the paint at the floor of the cab.
